Yevgeniy (Eugene) has been teaching my son piano since he was 5 years old. We chose Yevgeniy to be our son's piano teacher after interviewing 3 different places. His teaching style is to encourage, challenge and excite a child. The music my son learned from Yevgeniy has become our family memory. Yevgeniy (piano teacher) and his wife Karina (flute teacher) really know the strength and weakness of each student, and their teaching is designed according to each student’s ability and personality. They teach pieces that are challenging to the students, yet they give them opportunities to pick the pieces they love to learn. This individually tailored approach provides our daughters with the fastest growth in both instruments. Our daughters are 12 and 7 years old, each takes a 90-minute lesson (piano and flute back-to-back) once a week. They never complain the lessons are too long, and are happy throughout the lessons. They are confident and eager performers at their recitals, school talent shows, All-City Orchestra and the Baroque Ensemble at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School.

Our Daughter Caroline was introduced to Yevgeniy when she was entering the 9th grade. We were concerned that she was going to start losing interest in piano because of all the distractions associated with high school.  Yevgeniy was able to challenge and encourage Caroline while increasing her interest in music as she was transitioning from adolescence to young adulthood.  He demonstrated a unique ability to teach Caroline how to interpret and embrace a composer’s message, as well as the emotion they wanted to express in their piece of music.  We feel lucky to have Yevgeniy as our Daughter’s Teacher, but also as a solid role model who continues to teach her valuable life lessons.

Yevgeniy teaches piano to our daughter Emily. We journey down from NH once per month as we had been told (and now agree) that Yevgeniy is the best teacher in New England. In our first meeting our jaws dropped open as he instructed Emily about ways to bring life and excitement to her execution.
